TechTruck is now offering an awesome online Minecraft party adventure!
The TechTruck Minecraft Puzzle cube online party is fully hosted throughout and has kids working together virtually via Zoom and Minecraft to explore, find clues, solve the riddles and play games. Once the puzzle cube has been solved enjoy some exciting Minecraft mini games and a building challenge!
Once the party is over the fun doesn't have to stop with access to the Zoom room and our Realm for the rest of the day included for all guests!
Faced with the many challenges brought by the Coronavirus pandemic, TechTruck has adapted and created this exciting addition of an online party so children can still celebrate their birthday despite the restrictions wth friends and family all over the country/world! This socially distant, lockdown-proof party option means TechTruck can offer parties for up to 10 children regardless of restrictions, or geographical location of guests. Parents can book safe in the knowledge that no government announcements or distance can stand in the way of their celebration.
WHAT DO I NEED?
Each player will require the following:
MINECRAFT BEDROCK EDITION - This could be on Xbox, PC, tablet, PlayStation or Nintendo switch. (Java and console editions of Minecraft are not compatible).
A SECOND DEVICE TO RUN ZOOM- This could be a laptop, a mobile phone, tablet, or PC/TV with webcam enabled. We will send all details for accessing your personal zoom party room before the day!
A LOVE FOR MINECRAFT!
- Ok, this one isn't strictly necessary because the party is great fun for everyone! The TechTruck Minecraft Puzzle cube adventure is suitable for all abilities and experience is not necessary. We recommend this party is suitable for children aged from 6-7 up to 11. The host is present throughout the party so assistance is always on hand!
How does this work?
Our Minecraft adventure party is played out in an immersive Minecraft world, purpose built by us. The game is played inside the Minecraft world, whilst at the same time being hosted via zoom. All guests will need an internet connection, one device to run Minecraft, and another one to run zoom. Enjoy our puzzle cube adventure, then some Minecraft mini games followed by a building challenge! Once we have left, we hand over the Zoom hosting to you, and guests can then access our MInecraft realm and play for the rest of the day if they wish!
What version of Minecraft do I need?
Minecraft Bedrock Edition is the only version of Minecraft compatible with the virtual party. This is available on Xbox One consoles and above, PS4 consoles and above, Windows PC’s, and the Nintendo Switch. Tablets and mobile phones run Bedrock, which replaced pocket edition with a free update. Java and console editions are not compatible.

If in doubt, simply do an online search for the version number in the bottom right corner of the screen on your device (seen here as v1.16.210), or give us a call/email and we will check for you. Version numbers change with each update but it should always come up as Bedrock edition. Minecraft MUST be updated to the most recent version.
What Devices are compatible?
Xbox One consoles and above, PS4 consoles and above, Windows PC’s, the Nintendo Switch, tablets and mobile phones. TechTruck cannot guarantee the compatibility of all mobile devices, due to factors such as age/software update capabilities.
Nintendo Switch users will require an active subscription to Nintendo online to be able to play online, and PlayStation users will require an active subscription to PlayStation+. A 7 day free trial is sometimes available* on both platforms for those who have not previously subscribed which can be accessed via the store.
What do I need to do?
All the instructions on preparing and set up (should you need to) are sent out to the party organiser to be distributed to all guests. We are also available by email and phone to assist with any problems or to answer any questions. The basic requirements are:
A free Microsoft account
Minecraft bedrock edition (+ a device to run it)
A zoom account (+ a device to run it)
Who can join in?
Anyone you invite, (up to a maximum of 10!) no matter where they are in the world. We have already celebrated with children from as far away as Dubai and Oman.
Is it safe?
Yes! Our parties are hosted by an experienced member of the team who holds an enhanced DBS check certificate. We do not store any personal details and the only people with access to both your zoom party room, and the Minecraft game world are us, you and your invited guests.
The recommended age range for the Minecraft puzzle cube online party is from 6-7 depending on ability, up to 11.

By booking the TechTruck Minecraft Puzzle cube virtual party, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
1- Once a date and time to book is offered, this must be confirmed within 48 hours. Failure to do so may result in the date and time being booked by another customer. The booking is not confirmed until full payment has been made. Full refunds will only be made up to 28 days before the party date (see point 3 for exception). Less than 28 days before a party date a booking can only be rescheduled, not refunded, and must take place within 12 months of the original booking date. TechTruck takes no responsibility for rebooking. If a new party date is not requested within 12 months, the booking will be rendered invalid.
2- If the party cannot go ahead and TechTruck is not at fault, TechTruck will offer to reschedule the booking for an alternative date/time that suits both parties.
3- In the unlikely event of TechTruck being unable to provide the party on the allocated date/time, for any reason, TechTruck will offer to reschedule or refund in full.
4- After booking TechTruck advises all participants test their set up with us at the latest 24-48 hours before the party. This is very important to avoid delays and disappointment on the day of the party. We will endeavour to assist with any issues encountered, however TechTruck are not responsible for anyone who can't access the game due to incorrect set up or their systems failing and no compensation will be offered for this.
5- All participants must be running Minecraft Bedrock edition. This must be updated to the most recently released update. Java edition is not compatible.
6- Although TechTruck will try to help wherever possible, TechTruck can't guarantee all participants gain access to the game. TechTruck will send a comprehensive guide on set up requirements including instructions, and offers testing and assistance prior to the party date to ensure smooth running on the day of the party. TechTruck is not responsible for distribution of the guide to any person other than the party organiser, and will not be responsible for any technical failures as a result of non-distribution or failure to follow the guide.
7- TechTruck reserves the right to remove any player from the game who is abusive, uses threatening behaviour or bad language. Anyone found to be using code to destroy the world or gain an advantage in the game will be removed.
8- TechTruck will not tolerate any abusive, aggressive or threatening language towards its staff. TechTruck reserves the right to terminate the party or cancel the booking at any time for this reason.
9- All parties are hosted by DBS checked staff.
10- We will not share information or pictures publicly, unless the information and/or pictures have already been made available in a public forum for example on social media.
